Special Education

School counsellor serves as a dual role i.e educator (through guidance education activities) and counsellor (through counselling services).Recognizing the fact that all children have different strengths and abilities, the aim is to help each child achieve his /her potential.

The counsellor works with children of mild to moderate disabilities, modifying the general curriculum to meet individual’s needs and providing required instructions.

School events and celebrations teach students how to commit themselves to a particular thing they get involved in. They are utmost important in a student’s life as they enhance their social skills, help them learn to manage time, develop organizational skills and improved self-confidence.

Students studying in the regular classroom who have been assessed as having an educational need receive classroom support and /or remedial intervention from Special Educator. Further accommodation such as extra time and allotment of scribes is incorporated wherever necessary.
